About Jennifer

Yoga enthusiast, deep feeler-thinker, plant-lover, writer, maker, artist, mom, connector — contributing to a global network enriching the lives and leadership of individuals and organizations through yoga, education, coaching, and creative offerings. Welcome!

Jennifer took her first Iyengar Yoga class in January of 1994 and has been a devoted student since that time. She has continued to study alignment-based yoga, therapeutic yoga, vinyasa yoga, strength training, somatic experiencing, and psychotherapy with many excellent professional yoga instructors and therapists.

Since 2003, she has taught classical Yoga to both adults and children - in group settings, workshops and one-on-one - incorporating tools from complementary therapeutic practices (resistance training, use of the Yoga wall, Thai Yoga, tapping, mantra, journaling/writing) to meet individual abilities and needs.

She has created a variety of programs, curriculums, and tools for students, teachers, coaches, and creatives to use to bolster their their personal practice and share with their students and clients.

Jen’s teaching focus is to lead others to uses their SENSES to understand their physio-psycho-emotional experience in the present to intuit how to respond in a way that honors their needs right away so they can stay safe, feel good and live harmoniously.

Her background in Montessori education has profoundly influenced her teaching style. Preparing the practice/teaching space, breaking down the teachings step-by-step, and creating an environment that inspires freedom to explore balanced with personal responsibility.

Her pensive but playful spirit inspires calmly focused action, deep listening/learning, acceptance & inclusion, and a light-hearted, curios approach to life.

She dreams of the day when ALL adults and children in EVERY home and school learn healthy habits through the principles of Yoga & Ayurveda - intentional and intelligent movement, breathing, & meditation; compassion for self and others; environmental stewardship; access to and appreciation of fresh, healthy foods.
